Over on the official Gundam Assemble YouTube Channel, Bandai Namco have officially revealed the contents of the upcoming Starter Set 01, due to drop on October 31st, and it's actually a neat variety pack offering at a *very* competative MSRP.
What you are getting are a trio of the more notable rivalries from across Gundam's history, with grandpappy RX-78-2 Gundam vs Char's Zaku II from Mobile Suit Gundam, the Wing Gundam Zero (EW) vs Gundam Epyon from Gundam Wing, and Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex vs Gundam Vidar from Iron Blooded Orphans.
Honestly for £35 (going by the pre-order prices on gaming stores here) that's a pretty good entry point - you get six powerful mobile suits, rulebook, playmat, dice, counters, card terrain pieces and all the cards needed to get started. Not too shabby.
Additional options are being offered at the same time, as several 3-figure Expansions are set to drop too (2 for Gundam Wing, 1 for Unicorn and 1 for Witch From Mercury), as well as a Deluxe Set for the UC setting that, whilst notably more expensive at an MSRP of £99.99 comes with 13 minis, including 2 ships and larger suits like the Zeong.
A second Deluxe Set is also due around December and silhouttes of the minis look like it will be themed around Gundam SEED, so clearly Bandai have plans to offer support to fans of all parts of the franchise (personally that second Deluxe set calls to me, as do the WIng sets - I'm doomed if they do 08th MS Team....)
Gundam Assemble is showing up at most TTRPG stores around the internet, including Chaos Cards and Wayland Games.
