Having gone down a storm at Tokyo Game Show, Hellheart Breaker has a new trailer. A mix of action, dating sim, dungeon crawling and roguelite elements, the game looks like a lot of fun, and coming from Battlebrew Creations who crafted the critically acclaimed Cusineer, we're hoping this lives up to its potential. The art style is really cute and the idea of dating and fighting monster-girls in hell certainly has appeal. The isometric style and roguelite elements should make the game approachable as it's a genre that's been seeing a strong slew of releases lately.

This is a refreshing blend of action, dating sim, dungeon crawling, and roguelite, mixing styles and genres in a compelling animated game! Set in an Asian-inspired Underworld filled with smoke and neon, you awaken in a forgotten room within a bathhouse, soon becoming a new resident of Aashraya, the last remaining city in the Underworld. With no memory of who you are and an ominous prophecy hanging over you, you embark on a journey to uncover your true identity.
The monster girls you choose to date will grant you powerful new abilities, while the ones you leave behind become the formidable bosses standing in your way. One of many standout features is the romance system, where relationships have a direct impact on gameplay. Players can romance different Clan Scions to learn their abilities and elemental powers, or reject their beliefs and potentially fight them. A sequence would be to date a character, gain their powers, then use them to progress through the Underworld.
Hellheart Breaker is due for release in 2027.
