Kenichi Sonoda, designer for classic series such as Bubblegum Crisis, Gal Force and creator of the incredible Gunsmith Cats manga has launched a Kickstarter project to bring anti-hero Bean Bandit back to animation.
From the campaign page:
My name is Kenichi Sonoda, the original creator of Riding Bean and Gunsmith Cats, and I want to make an ambitious Bean Bandit animation without focusing on profit. With a small but skilled staff and the funding and support from fans, let’s bring Bean Bandit to the big screen, and even an animations series and movie!
As you would expect, backers can choose from a number of rewards, which include original sketches from the man himself (enough of a sell on its own surely?) digital artbooks and much more. Backers can start at £35 for the Blu Ray and work up to £2,935 to nab key frame art and a design of you in the movie itself!
