Some Korean cultural news for you courtesy of the Korean Cultural Centre.
Running from the 2–16 November, the 21st London Korean Film Festival will showcase a range of films, from the latest releases and genre films to bold, thought-provoking independent works by the country’s leading auteurs.
Films will be announced in full of their website though we know they shall be showing Lee Chang-dong's award-winning Possible Love (of which I have heard many good things). Screenings will be running at the BFI Southbank, ICA, Cine Lumiere.
A little closer to now is their K-Music Festival, running from next Monday week (28 Sep) to the 23rd November. A full line up of bands and musicians covering a plethora of genres can be found on their website, as well as links to getting your tickets. A work colleague just this morning, completely by coincidence, turned me to onto the classical instrumentation meets prog- / post-rock band Dongyang Gozupa whom are playing and I have to admit I may have to make my way to a live performance.
