The stunningly beautiful Muramasa from Vanillaware is returning to Switch, Switch 2, PS5 and - for the first time - PC with Muramasa Revenant Blade.
Announced on the latest Nintendo Direct, the game will also feature a full English voiceover for the first time, but that's not the only upgrade. Graphics are being upgraded to 4k and all 6 stories are available from the start, making it the most complete and accessible version of the game yet.
Having been released on the Wii back in 2009, the game has since made its way to many other formats, including Sony's handheld. This new version will be coming out both physically (£44.99) and digitally, and yes there will be a collector's edition complete with an artbook for £59.99, which is frankly all I needed to know. Day 1 purchase there.
The Story:
Deep in Japan’s past, a great conflict erupts over the ownership of fabled and powerful samurai swords forged by the legendary Senji Muramasa. These swords grant their owner both incredible power and a madness that can be sated only by blood. As various factions clash over these mythical weapons, demons and evil spirits drawn to the bloodshed rampage across the land. These fables explore the fates of six diverse characters whose lives are thrown into chaos by these revenant blades.
