The long-awaited season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero has been given a promotional image and new trailer courtesy of Funimation.
The new season will premier in the Spring of 2022 and features the return of Naofumi and Raphtalia. MADKID and Chiai Fujikawa, who performed the first season’s opening and ending themes, will be returning for the sequel with “Bring Back” and “Yuzurenai,” respectively.
Based on the light novels by Aneko Yusagi and Seira Minami, The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 2 is being directed by Masato Jinbo as studio Kinema Citrus, with series composition by Keigo Koyanagi and character design by Masahiro Suwa.
