Two very different styles of anime have vinyl release announcements this week, and as a collector of such things I thought it only fair to share the news with our readers.
Firstly, a second assortment of releases has been announced for Kozue Amano's beautiful Aria, the relaxing science fiction fantasy set on Neo Venizia, where a group of girls ferry tourists around in their gondolas. The albums, Aria The Natural and Aria The Origination are both scheduled for release on September 2nd. Both covers will feature artwork from the original CD release to add to the nostalgia.
First edition copies of the soundtrack for Aria The Natural will be pressed on dark blue and red clear vinyls, reminiscent of the Aria Company and Himeya’s colors, while first edition copies of the soundtrack for Aria the Origination will be pressed on lime yellow and orange clear vinyls, reminiscent of Orange Planet’s color and Neo Venezia’s sunset featured on the original CD jacket.
In addition, first editions of Aria The Origination Original Soundtrack Tre -vinyl edition- will come with a special storage box featuring an original illustration drawn by Kozue Amano. The illustration depicts a room where the sunlight of Neo Venezia streams through the curtains, casting a beautiful glow. Akari Mizunashi stands with her back to the window with President Aria next to her. Their gazes are directed at the viewer, creating a striking image that envelopes the viewer in a soothing silence. The storage box can hold up to three records, perfect for storing all three vinyl releases of the Aria soundtracks.
