Longtime readers will know that UKA has been following the translation of the Japanese roleplaying system Sword World for a while now, but today we got a huge update - a new primer and a release date of October 20th, 2026.
As a reminder, Sword World is a Japanese RPG system similar to Dungeons & Dragons, which originated in 1989. The new project is working with original developers Group SNE to translate the cultural elements of the game in a way which properly reflect the original authorial intent.
The PDF is available for those following the project over on Backerkit, and contains new artwork (still not final but very nice indeed!) character sheets, example, rules & explanations that have been completely overhauled from the previous edition. If you wanted to jump in and see how the project is shaping up, now is the time.
