KADOKAWA has announced a new anime adaptation for the popular web-novel series Within the Villainess, which revolves around Remilia, a "villainess" who experience the purity of love of a reincarnated girl named Emi now living within her as she schemes to take down the heroine, Pina.
For this long-awaited anime adaptation, Yoshihisa Iida (BULLBUSTER episode director) will serve as director in his first role as a series director. Reiko Nagasawa (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) will serve as character designer, while Hiroyuki Yoshino (Black Butler -Public School Arc-, Macross Frontier) will handle series composition and scripts. Animation production will be handled by the rising studio ROLL2 (Love Is Indivisible by Twins).
Remilia Rose Graupner will be voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro while Emi will be played by Rie Takahashi.

Synopsis
After losing her life in an accident, Emi is reincarnated as a young noble girl named Remilia Rose Graupner.
Remilia is the most feared villainess in a certain otome game, and Emi’s beloved “fave”.
Moved by the loneliness that once left the original Remilia with nothing but resentment toward the world, Emi resolves to make her happy with her own hands. Through tireless effort and her natural kindness, she gradually brings to those around her.
