Japanese animation director Masaya Inaba to give talk in London November 7th

Posted on 20 Oct 2026

Artificial Kreativity is hosting a talk with CGI Artist and Director Masaya Inaba will be giving a "Kreative Talk" to share a rare and personal glimpse into his work on ChaO, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc 3, All You Need is Kill and MUTAFUKAZ.

We always welcome the chance for an audience to get to know more about the medium they love, and this sounds like a great opportunity to not only hear about the work that goes on behind the scenes, but the personal story behind a great creative director.

Masaya Mentions:

“For me, working in anime production as a CGI artist is not simply about creating 3D assets or using technology. It is about understanding how different people work, connecting their skills, and helping their work shine—it’s a way of expressing stories and emotions through moving images.”

From the Press Release:

The director will offer a rare behind-the-scenes look at the making of complex animated sequences. This includes working with traditional anime painters, and the relationship between hand drawn animation, background art, and CGI—showing how digital tools can extend, rather than replace, the traditions of Japanese animation.

This talk forms part of Artificial Kreativity’s Kreative Talks, a platform sharing the stories behind the creatives shaping the world. It is designed for animators, illustrators, filmmakers, designers, students, and anyone interested in anime, Manga or Japanese visual culture and the craft of moving images.
