While watching Kirik and his team build houses, I felt as though I was a child reading a picture book, filled with excitement. I’m extremely happy to be able to live in this world as Soara. It is a privilege to play this role, and I place great importance on portraying the emotional shifts my character goes through as she spends time with Kirik and the others. Please look forward to it!"
During the course of the story, she meets Kirik, who claims to be the architect of the monster world. He's a highly skilled architect, he travels the world building houses for homeless monsters. He's played by Ayumu Murase:
"I’m honored to play the voice of Kirik."

Staff Comments:
Director: Takaharu Ozaki
"With the upcoming anime adaptation, I wondered what exactly “fantasy house-building” would be – and upon turning the pages of the manga, was mesmerized by the worldview, characters and story in absolutely no time at all. House-building is something that connects people, worlds, past and present – even time itself. “Soara and the House of Monsters” is a brilliant series that has a strange charm where the foreshadowing of the character setups, dynamics and story are intricately interwoven, but remains beautifully simple and satisfyingly easy to follow once you watch it. Without a doubt, it is a heartwarming story that will leave its viewers deeply comforted."
"I would be delighted if everyone could join Soara, Kirik and the others on their journey together in search of a safe, secure house - a place that hearts can truly call home."
Series Composition: Ayumu Hisao
"Every time I turn a page in “Soara and the House of Monsters”, I’m captivated by the excitement, intrigue and passion poured into each panel and every corner of the double spreads. This the heart-pounding journey of home renovation and the encounter between Soara, Kirik, and their companions. As a member of the staff, I’m extremely happy and grateful to be able to participate in the anime adaptation of this wonderful manga."
“Rather than fighting, struggling and hurting one another, if only there was a cozy place one could call home…” Driven by this heartfelt message, I hope as many people as possible will watch this series, especially in this current day and age."
Character Design: Tomoko Iwasa
"I still remember the excitement I felt when I was first approached about this project, picked up the first volume of the manga and saw the cover illustration."
"Raised to fight monsters, Soara’s shifting emotions while travelling with Kirik and his team, as well as the adorable monsters with their comical expressions, are what I hope to carefully portray within this anime – with the feeling of travelling alongside them, building a warm home with my own hands…"
"Please look forward to it."
Music: Hinako Tsubakiyama
"For every being, a place to belong. I felt that Kirik and his team’s house-building was about giving shape to someone’s desire of “wanting to stay here”. Drawn to the warmth of this series that focuses on the feelings and lifestyles of each and every client, I composed music that would accompany that gentle yet powerful way of living. As you let your thoughts wander through the world where these unique monsters reside, and reflect on the wishes built into each of their homes, I hope that you’ll enjoy both the story and music of “Soara and the House of Monsters”!"
