Some good film news to end the week as in January 2027; Toy Robot are to release Hakuchi: The Innocent, directed by Macoto Tezka (son of manga legend Osamu Tezuka) and starring a young Tadanobu Asano. Pre-orders are already open here.
Synopsis:
Izawa (Tadanobu Asano) is a lowly production assistant in the corporate monolith Media Station, housed in a gleaming building that towers above the ruins of Tokyo. He lives in squalor among pigs and chickens in an old tailor's house, perpetually contemplating suicide.
One day, he discovers a young woman, Sayo (Miyako Koda), the wife of the neighbourhood lunatic, hiding in his room, and very soon an odd and beautiful relationship develops between these two deeply lonely souls.
